DALLAS UNCORKED BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Hayley Hamilton Cogill, CSW, Dallas Uncorked’s Founder and President, continues to inspire an appreciation and passion for wine in the Dallas community and beyong. As President of Dallas Uncorked she is devoted to bringing educational and entertaining wine events to the Dallas community, while donating the proceeds of each event to meaningful local and international charities since its inception. In July of 2010 she left the corporate world as Vice President for The Nielsen Company to focus solely on the world of wine, food and travel, writing for the city magazine of Dallas, TX, D Magazine & blog, SideDish; Lifestyle blog, Pink Memo in New York, Los Angeles and Dallas, and freelancing on wine and travel for various other publications. Writing about and enjoying the celebration of entertaining with food and wine is much of what guides Hayley's everyday life. The constant hostess, and she can often be found in her kitchen creating recipes and cooking dinner parties, which she writes about on the Dallas Uncorked blog, Red Wine With Breakfast. She also has an active business hosting educational wine tasting events for both corporate and friends/family gatherings. She is married to her love, Gary Cogill. Though she has traveled to and tasted some of the best wine made in the world, she is still seeking that completely perfect glass....if it can be found is a mystery, but the never-ending adventure of looking and tasting is well worth the hunt.
Gary Cogill is an Emmy award-winning journalist, serving for 24 years as the film critic for WFAA-TV in Dallas (ABC), where he reviewed more than 10,000 films and conducted more than 20,000 interviews including Robert DeNiro, Meryl Streep, Stephen Spielberg , Clint Eastwood, Robin Williams, Tom Hanks, Emma Thompson, Denzel Washington, Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Cate Blanchett, Judi Dench, Anthony Hopkins, George Clooney, Julia Roberts... the list is endless. His favorite films include “To Kill A Mockingbird”, “Lawrence Of Arabia,” “Schindler’s List”, and “Waiting For Guffman” (which he considers to be a comic masterpiece). Gary is also a much sought after speaker and moderator, hosting on stage countless “Evenings With” John Travolta, Robert Duvall, David Mamet, Stephen Sondheim, Ken Burns, Danny Glover, Brooke Shields, Martin Sheen and more. Gary and Hayley have recently started a new consulting company together combining both of their passions, Cogill Consulting.
Chablis Lindquist thanks her mother for deriving her name from the description of a Chablis…elegant, decadent, effervescent, blonde, agreeable, with great character. Raised on gourmet foods, Cabernet and Veuve Clicquot, Chablis developed a refined palate for fine food and wine. Her writings about cuisine and decadent living can be found in Texas-based publications such as Ultra Magazine and My Table Magazine. Chablis hopes to someday leave the corporate world as a marketing professional and throw parties for a living. Her affiliation with Dallas Uncorked is a labor of love for the good of wine -- Chablis believes in the Dallas Uncorked dream to introduce our members to the intricacies of wine.
Anne Smith is a self-described "wino-in-training." Though exposed to wine over many years, she never took an interest, watching while her sister and children took to the grape with great enthusiasm. However, she says, wine is infectious and now she and her husband have caught the bug. Her hopes for Dallas Uncorked are to develop an organization for the educational good of the novice as well as the expert, and to see just what she’s been missing in the land of the vines.
